This year's EyeStyle draws inspiration from Pantone's Color of the Year for 2019: Living Coral. This warm, vibrant coral hue adds the perfect punch of color to your spring and summer 2019 wardrobes.
Pantone’s official definition of the color describes it as “Vibrant, yet mellow, PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment." This warm hue was selected because we have become so reliant on social media and technology as part of our daily interaction, that it has made us distant and less empathetic. Therefore, Living Coral reminds us to take care of each other, nurture intimacy and authentic connections, and encourages playful expression. "This color is supposed to have a HUMANIZING factor," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Institute.

How to Wear Living Coral
While this bright hue may seem a bit dramatic to wear in everyday life, working this bold color into your #OOTD is surprisingly easy and quite lovely. As Living Coral is a warm, peachy orange with a golden undertone, it pairs well with neutrals such as white, ivory, and gray. Coral also accentuates cooler tones, like vibrant teal, turquoise, and navy blue. Combine the warmth of coral with the richness of gold for a surprisingly stunning look. If non-traditional is more your style, pair coral with black for a strikingly dramatic look.
Curious as to how to piece it all together? Here's my EyeStyle Outfit inspired by Living Coral.
